What are matching gifts?

Matching gifts are donations made by employers to match the charitable gifts their employees make to eligible nonprofits, often at a 1:1 or even higher ratio. Many companies extend these programs to spouses, retirees, and part-time employees, which can significantly increase the support animals receive.

How matching gifts help animals

When your gift is matched, more dogs and cats receive safe shelter, medical care, and a second chance at a loving home. This additional support also helps fund spay/neuter, lifesaving treatments, and enrichment that keeps pets happy and healthy while they wait for adoption.

Find out if your gift can be matched

Many employers list their matching gift program details on their HR portal or through Human Resources staff. After you make a donation to Pensacola Humane Society, check with your employer to see if they offer donation matching and request their match using the forms or online system they provide.​

  • Make a personal donation to Pensacola Humane Society.​
  • Complete your employer’s matching gift form (online or paper) with Pensacola Humane Society’s name and your donation details.​
  • Submit the form through your company’s process so the match can be sent directly to support homeless pets.
